Does GLITZ! offer layaway?
Yes, GLITZ! now offers layaway on full price gowns only. We require half of the amount of the gown as down payment, and the other half is due within 30 days. There is a $5 storage fee for placing a gown on layaway. We do not offer layaway online. If you would like to place a gown on layaway, please visit our store.

Do you sell gowns off the rack?
Yes we do. If you find a gown that you love and we have it in stock in the correct size and color, it can be yours! If you are looking for a different size, color, or style, we would be happy to place a special order for you.

How long does it take for my merchandise to arrive?
It can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks to receive your merchandise after placing an order. You will receive a confirmation email after placing your order that will let you know the approximate ship date.

What sizes do you carry?
We carry juniors sizes 0 to 18. However, we can order select styles up to a size 32.

Why is my normal dress size different than the designer’s recommended dress size?
Wedding apparel is typically sized different from normal retail clothing and it is not uncommon to find yourself requiring bridal apparel one or more sizes larger than your normal dress size. Most gowns average 2 sizes larger than your normal dress size. Designer’s size charts vary greatly so it is important you review the correct designer’s size chart and our Measurement Guide.

What measurements do I need to order a dress?
To select a size on the designer’s size chart you need your bust, waist, and hip. These measurements should be taken wearing undergarments to get a more exact measurement. We highly recommend getting your measurements taken by a professional. If that is not possible, you can have a friend measure the biggest part of your bust, the smallest part of your waist (typically two inches above your belly button) and the biggest part of your hip (buttocks). Make sure they do not pull on the measuring tape to get smaller measurements, as this will result in ordering a dress that is too small. Once you have your measurements, compare your measurements to the size chart for the designer of the gown you are ordering to determine your size. Remember, factory measurements are approximate. Be sure you use the factory size chart to aid you. Gowns are not custom-made; therefore you need to order to fit the largest part of your body and take it in where it’s too large. If a dress is too large a seamstress can usually alter it to fit; however, if a dress is too small there is usually nothing that can be done to make it fit properly. Sizes cannot be changed once the order has been placed.

Do you ship?
We're happy yo ship your gown for you free of charge to the continental US. It usually takes between 5-7 business days to receive your package. If you need upgraded shipping, would like a sale item shipped, or need a product shipped to Alaska or Hawaii, it is available for an additional charge. We are unable to ship merchandise internationally.

Dress Colors
Online images of product colors and actual dress and swatch colors may vary due to display and monitor settings. Colors vary from designer to designer. Colors with the same name that are available through multiple designers may not exactly match one another. Please verify your color selection before placing an order, as we are not liable for mistaken color selections.

What is the prom pledge?
When you purchase a gown over $149 at GLITZ!, you will be offered the chance to pledge to be drug and alcohol free on prom night. We will reward your decision by offering you 10% off of shoes, jewelry, purses, and assorted accessories until the date of your event.

Do you provide alterations?
We do have seamstresses that we recommend. Perfect Fit is available for same day alterations, or you can make an appointment with independent seamstresses who can meet you in our store on weekdays. Please call if you would like their contact information.
